MuteUI is a Chrome extension that hides comments, posts, and words on social media websites based on rules you set. It also validates license keys for premium access.
All of your settings are stored locally in your browser using Chrome's storage API. This includes:
None of this data is sent to us, shared with anyone, or used for analytics.
When you activate a license key or when the extension checks your subscription status, two pieces of information are sent to our API server:
The server responds with whether the key is valid. That's it. No browsing history, no muted words, no account names, no page content.
If you purchase a subscription through Stripe, our server stores:
We do not store passwords, payment details, browsing data, or anything related to what you mute or filter.
Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your credit card number. Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment processing: stripe.com/privacy
We do not sell, share, or transfer your data to any third party for any reason. We do not run ads. We do not use analytics or tracking scripts in the extension or on this website.
This website and the extension do not use cookies.
You can delete all your local data by uninstalling the extension. If you want your server-side data removed (license key, email, device IDs), email us and we'll delete it.
